Cars ready to hit town centre

PREPARE for high octane action as the streets of Wellingborough get set for the Parade of Power.The second running of the event will take place on Friday, August 29, with some of the most powerful cars and bikes parading around Wellingborough.The cars will complete several circuits of the town centre before putting on a display around the Market Square.Last year’s event drew hundreds of people from across the region to the town to enjoy the unique performance.This year, crowds will be met with an abundance of cars and bikes in the Cavalcade, special guest vehicles on display including Podzilla, Santa Pod Raceway’s very own Monster Truck, music and competitions on the live stage.  Also, there will be a motor related trade village, as well as merchandise and food.The event has been organised between Santa Pod Raceway and the Wellingborough Town Centre Partnership.The Parade of Power will begin at 7pm, so arrive early to stake out a good viewing position along the route. more
